Frozen Mermaid Nails and a Happy New Year

Christmas and New Year nails are the most exciting ones to get. Last year I went full-on Christmas with penguins and reindeer. As amazing as they were, I didn’t take into account that they would also be my nails for New Years, and unfortunately winter animals don’t co-ordinate too well with a glam dress. This meant that this year I thought a bit more carefully about my nails, so when in doubt, GET THE GLITTER OUT.

Now, I’m sure many of you already know how much I love anything sparkly, holographic or glittery. I recently discovered thanks to Tati >>(GlamLifeGuru)<< it’s a human instinct to be attracted to things that sparkle. This is due to the fact that it reminds us of water, which is something we need to survive, strange but true. So when I went to get my nails done all I knew was that I wanted a full-on glitter overload.

I didn’t want traditional red Christmassy nails, I’ll be honest I’m not personally the biggest fan of red nails and I knew everyone would be having them shades so I went along a different route. I went for what I would like to call, frozen mermaid vibes. We went for a bright silver background and then full-on and faded blue/green/holographic glitter over all of them. I frickin’ love them. They are so super sparkly, and they’ll go with both Christmas and New Years outfits.

And on that note, I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017.

Love always.
